Planning Commissioner for Rancho Palos Verdes; chaired in 2006Planning Commissioner It is with great honor that I have served 6 years as Planning Commissioner for Rancho Palos Verdes. It has provided me with the opportunity to work in a quasi-judicial capacity very similar to a Council member. As Councilman I would follow the same format that has worked so well for me as Commissioner: -Making sure I have a full and accurate understanding of the issue at hand -Listening carefully to public comments and understanding the public's interpretation of the issue -Being aware of the parameters of RPV regulations and applicable State and Federal laws -Reaching a fair resolution and letting the public know the reasons for my decision There are too many Planning Commission cases to cover in this website but if you are interested in viewing my role as commissioner, I refer you to the Rancho Palos Verdes site where those meetings are archived at: http://www.palosverdes.com/rpv/planning/agenda_videos/ |
