I was raised in Glendora and graduated from Goddard Middle School and Glendora High School in 1990. I attended Cal Poly, Pomona receiving my Bachelor of Science in Business and my multiple subject teaching credential in the 1990s. I taught eighth grade at St. Christopher's School in West Covina and then came to teach at Sandburg Middle School, where I taught Math and Science in 7th and 8th grade. After starting my family with my husband Dan, I stopped teaching to devote myself full-time to raising my family. My three daughters, Cameron, Sydney and Jordan all attend Glendora schools. Both Dan and I have been active volunteers with PTA, Site Council, soccer and softball, and Girl Scouts. I have been a member of the district's Declining Enrollment Committee, Safe and Drug Free Schools Committee, the Foundation for Glendora Unified Schools and local service organizations. I was first elected to the Glendora Unified School District Board of Education in November of 2005. I currently serve as the Board Vice President and am seeking re-election for another term. |
