New to Politics, But Not to Hard WorkBy Darice BridgesCandidate for Board Member; Emery Unified School District | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
As a Board member, my presence with not only be felt, but seen on the campus. It is imperative that Board members actually become a part of the school life to ensure that what is voted on is actually being manifested in our young people. If we vote and the children don't tangibly receive the benefits then adults are viewed as not caring. It is important that families, staff, and administrators need to feel that Board members are accessible and actually there to implement what our title of Trustee means and that is to trust us to make the best decisions for the greater good of all. If the Board does not hear the concerns and suggestions on a regular basis then how are we to administer our oath? Above all there needs to be equal accountability across the line in order to effectively create a district that demonstrates pride and excellence through the acts of the adults and immolated through our students. When elected EUSD Board member I vow to keep our families, school, and community first through my actions. |
