Political Philosophy for Daniel Tabor

It's my honor to serve the city of Inglewood as your Councilmember. Professionally and personally, I've lived by the mantra: Promises Made, Promises Kept! Please visit the Issues page to see how I've delivered on solving some of Inglewood's most pressing problems from protecting residents from airplane noise, re-developing critical areas like Hollywood Park, and fighting for families facing foreclosures. My relationship with Inglewood began on January 27, 1966. It was my first day in a brave new world. My mother, the civic minded activist of the family, wanted better for her family. At the time, Inglewood Unified School District was among the top ten educational systems in state. So, my family moved from South Los Angeles to Inglewood. I became a sixth grader at Clyde Woodworth Elementary School. Since 1966, I've developed a deep bond with the City of Inglewood. The challenges we face today are different in some ways than the ones that my family faced more than four decades ago. However, the fundamentals are the same. Families still need affordable homes, safe environments for recreation, quality schools, and good jobs. During my next four years on the Council, I'll continue to mobilize the valuable resources we have - business owners, parents, educators, health care providers, and youth - to make sure the Inglewood of tomorrow is even better than the Inglewood of today. Help shape Inglewood's future by staying involved. |
