LEGAL EXPERIENCE

2004 to Present - Of Counsel HARRY R. BLACKBURN & ASSOCIATES, P.C. - Philadelphia, PA Practice concentrated in: surety and fidelity, construction litigation, insurance coverage disputes, general civil litigation. Recently settled a medical malpractice action for the plaintiff involving the mis-diagnosis of a brain tumor in a 34 year old mother of three young children. Martindale-Hubbell AV rating.

1995-2004 LAW OFFICES OF ANGELO J. FOGLIETTA, ESQ., P.C. - Philadelphia, PA Managed a legal practice which specializes in personal injury, medical malpractice, product liability and workers' compensation cases.

Selected Accomplishments: Founded this practice and directed its growth into a litigation entity in the Philadelphia Legal Community. Tried numerous major jury trials to a successful conclusion, including cases featured for excellent results in the Legal Intelligencer.

1986-1995 FOGLIETTA AND COHEN, P.C. - Philadelphia, PA Managed a legal practice which specializes in personal injury, medical malpractice, product liability, and workers' compensation cases.

Selected Accomplishments: Co-founded this practice and directed its growth into a respected entity in the Philadelphia legal community. Gained major jury trial experience during this time period, trying more than fifty cases to conclusion and serving as counsel in numerous arbitration hearings. Case concentration included both defense and plaintiff's work. Developed an extensive caseload which would prove valuable to my next firm. Served as lead counsel in a personal injury, under insured motorist action which was featured in the Verdict, a Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association publication. Won a large settlement from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in a negligence case against Byberry State Hospital. Successfully represented a natural parent in a prominent case involving the Department of Human Services and a private foster care agency.

1985-1986 MARGOLIS, EDELSTEIN - Philadelphia, PA Maintained an autonomous caseload for a firm which specialized in general insurance defense work.

1976- 1985 CITY OF PHILADELPHIA - OFFICE OF CITY SOLICITOR - Philadelphia, PA Chief Assistant City Solicitor

Defended the City of Philadelphia and its employees against civil law suits. Conducted training seminars for less experienced personnel.

Selected Accomplishments: Hired as Law Clerk. Offered position as City Solicitor after passing bar exam. Completed successful assignment in General Trial Section prior to promotion for Major Trial Attorney. Received second promotion to Chief Assistant City Solicitor and personally developed the "expedited settlement program in which all civil cases filed against the City were evaluated for possible settlement. This first-of-its kind program saved hundreds of thousands of dollars in court costs annually. Was selected to recruit for City Solicitor `s Office at area law schools.
