Barbara Casasanta is a lifelong resident of the district. She is a 1967 graduate of Coraopolis High School and attended Community College of Allegheny County.

Barbara's career started as a Congressional Aide to U. S. Congressman Austin Murphy where she ran the Allegheny County district office and performed hundreds of casework cases for the constituents in the district.

Barbara then went on to private industry as a sales and branch manager for Kelly Services, Inc.'s Airport Branch office.

Barbara has been a successful realtor in the area and decided to enter politics as a candidate in 2003 when she ran for District Justice in the Coraopolis, Crescent and Moon Township district. She won the primary election and completed the course of instruction for state certification with the Minor Judiciary. After passing her state certification boards, she earned her certification in 2003 by the Pennsylvania Courts and will update her certification this year.

Barbara is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association and a Pennsylvania Realtor.

Barbara's education, experience and mature, fair judgment make her an excellent candidate for Magisterial District Judge for Coraopolis, Crescent, Moon Township and Neville Island.
