Fostering Strategic DevelopmentBy Georgia BlotzerCandidate for Member, Council; City of Pittsburgh; District 2 | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Strategic planning isn't about choosing winners and losers among various community organizations + it's about coming together around the same table and advancing the best ideas possible. Georgia will organize an effort to assemble an inclusive, long-range strategic plan for District 2. By identifying 5-year and 10-year goals, we can begin constructive work now in making our business districts and neighborhoods viable. Georgia understands that when we build a strategic plan from the grassroots level, both property values AND quality-of-life can increase at the same time. Developers will be attracted to our neighborhoods, but will be held accountable to our community vision. The city's East End has already realized the benefits of rational strategic planning. Now it's the West End's turn. |
