Political Philosophy for Belinda C. Nelson
Candidate for |

|
Hi I'm Belinda Nelson, your republican candidate of the 173 district for state representative. I've lived in and been active in the Frankford community for ten years. In my ten years I've accomplished numerous feats. I've held the position of Frankford community chairperson for four years. I went on to become vice chairperson of the sixty second ward for four more years. I am a member of the Frankford civic association. I'm an active member of the west Frankford town watch. In my ten year stint I've watch the community fall due to increases in drugs, violence, and illegal guns in the neighborhood. These downfalls have caused a rise in juvenile arrest. These arrests are direct result of the lack of after school activities and community programs for our youth. I' m a proud single mother of two college grads. I'm running for office to help the people of the Frankford community. My proposal to you all is to increase after school programs, reduce gun violence, and take drugs off the street. . I want to help provide the people of the 173rd District with better jobs. To help lower taxes, help people get better health insurance, to fight for lower income housing. These are things that we all are facing in the year 2008 and I want to help change 2009. To make our communities a better place to live we must stand up for what is ours, not to move. We can neither run from violence, or drugs. We all need change and it doesn't matter the party you are in! I'm all about helping people. To me it doesn't matter what race, color or political party you vote with - if I can help you then I will. People need people in office that can help make the necessary changes to this government. So let's all start working for a better tomorrow today! Thank you all for your time and patience, November 4, vote Belinda C. Nelson, "THE RIGHT CHOICE." My name is Belinda Nelson and I am running for State Representative of Pennsylvania. I have lived in the city of Philadelphia for 20 years. I have a home in the Frankford area, where I have lived for 10 years. I have two children that have graduated from college. I am a single mother who is very proud. I stand here today to let you know that I work for the people. I worked for the Frankford community as a committee chairperson for four years. Then I became vice chairperson of the 62nd ward of Philadelphia for four more years. I am a member of the Frankford Civic Association. I also work with the Frankford Town Watch. My desire is to help people, starting with the people in the Frankford neighborhood to everyone in the entire state of Pennsylvania. Since I have been living in the Frankford neighborhood, I have helped provide the people with food, jobs, home, clothing, and furniture. I have a deep passion to help people. God has given me a gift and I am to use it to the best of my ability. I am running for State Representative to increase after school programs. I want to help provide the people of Pennsylvania with better jobs. To reduce gun violence and take the drugs off the street. To help lower taxes and to help people get better health insurance. These are things that we all are facing in the year 2008 and I want to help change 2009. To make our communities a better place to live. Not force people to move because they don't like their current neighborhood. We have to address the growing problem of gun violence and drugs here in Pennsylvania, especially the city of Philadelphia. We must stand up for what is ours. The recession has brought down our economy and my desire is to get it heading in the right direction. I want Pennsylvania to have a better energy system would make things better but we together must shake up congress and let them know we are tired and ready to fight. This war is costing us a lot of money that this state needs to fund low income housing. We need to tax these large corporations and reduce government spending. So I ask you to come out and vote this November 4. Not just for change but for the right candidate to make that change. Belinda Nelson. The Right Choice for State Representative. |
