Questions & Answers

1. What proposals do you have to increase employment opportunities in Massachusetts?

Spur investment in local employment by holding the line or reducing taxes at every level. Individuals will pour more money into the local economy if government stops taxing their paycheck so much each week.

2. How will you rectify problems with aging Massachusetts infrastructure, especially bridges and tunnels?

A planned survey and prioritization of projects must first be done. Identify those bridges and roads in most need of repair and fund those project through existing state revenue.

We must re-evaluate every state government program for both its need and efficiency.

3. Governor Patrick has proposed a wide-ranging plan to transform education in the Commonwealth. What do you see as the top priorities in his plan and what funding mechanism do you feel will enable their successful implementation?

Governor Patrick has outlined his plan for education. Some of his plan is very troubling. No plan should include lower tuition for for those here illegally. We must reserve our resources in our already overburdened schools for those legal residents of Massachusetts.

I support testing of students statewide and support testing as a graduation requirement. This testing should also allow for a fair evaluation of schools, and should aid educators and parents as to what is expected of their school children.
