I'm running to retain my seat on the City Council because I care about maintaining and improving the quality of life in Riverbank for all citizens. My main goals are to insure city staff and the Council are working together for the benefit of the residents. Help determine the major initiatives that will become the basis for which this part of Riverbank's history will be viewed. Work closely with all citizens to raise the service expectations, and responsiveness in creating a progressive, premier community. My wife, Marina and I have resided in the central valley for the past 16 years, and raised two children. As a 4 year Crossroads resident, I have been active as former Director\President of Stanislaus Consolidate Fire, Executive Board California League of Cities, Riverbank Redevelopment Agency, Riverbank Local Redevelopment Agency, and Downtown Revitalization Committee. I have served my country faithfully as an Electronic Intelligence Analyst in the United States Air Force, diverse experience as a Systems Engineer with General Dynamics, former computer consultant for Stanislaus County Drug Enforcement Agency, and currently the Information Technology Manager for Stanislaus County BHRS. You will be asked to make some important choices November 4. The mayor and two city council seats are within your hands. The city of Riverbank is at a critical crossroad as the future, and uncertain economic times befall us. The accomplishments and goals we have achieved so far as a united community have caught the attention of all of our surrounding neighbors. Despite the growth, vision, and strategic objectives we still have more to do to make this the premier community we ALL deserve. I have served the community of Riverbank for many years, and I have the track record, proven credentials, and leadership skills necessary to advance this community forward, and make intelligent decisions necessary to adopt and advance the strategic agenda of this great city. I look forward to serving as your elected official with the goals of encouraging common sense governance, consensus building, and calm decision-making. In closing, it's easy to enjoy the perks of an elected official, and neglect the responsibility of the real work behind the scenes. You deserve an elected official that can fulfill the many responsibilities and wear the multitude of many hats necessary to be an EFFECTIVE city official. The hours of reading, studying, attending countless meetings, traveling, family sacrifice, continuous criticism, all come with the job. Finally, your elected official should have a track record of attending City Council Meetings, being involved in community activities, and attending public functions that showcase the important and critical decisions that must be made by a council member. I have that experience, and leadership, and respectfully as for your vote November 4th. |
