-It is sad when both political parties don't listen to their constituents but instead to special interests. On the federal level both Democrats and Republicans received overwhelming calls against the bailout. Both parties even gave $150 billion in earmarks.
-On the state level the Democrats who are suppose to represent the poor and working class proposed raising taxes on the very persons they represent knowing full well the economy is in decline.
- The Republicans are noted for not increasing spending. But the governor proposed a one percent sales tax increase.

When we lose representation by the people, we are in big trouble. With your vote I hope to join the few in the legislature that still put their constituents first.
