Smart Voter

The number one concern of the voters is the price of gas.

By Jim Fitzgerald

Candidate for State Senator; District 15

This information is provided by the candidate
My first bill will reduce the demand for gas in California
There are two ways to bring down the price of gas.

Increase Supply or Decrease Demand

My Bill will require all new government passenger vehicles purchased by the State to be Hybrids or Electric cars. No more Suburbans or limousines will be purchased by the State. All new California Highway patrol cars will also be Hybrids or Electric. Police cars in other countries get better gas mileage than the US law-enforcement vehicles now in use in California. A study will also be done to determine the feasibility of changing all current fleets of trucks, busses, forklifts and heavy equipment to run on Natural Gas. Reducing the State agencies' demand for gas will increase the supply of gas for the people of the state.
