Every person is obligated to leave a legacy for othersI am the founder of the San Joaquin County National Youth Day Foundation, founder of the Delores Huerta College Foundation for Mexican American Females. I attended Delta College, American River College, Rutgers University, and Humphreys college, and I am a graduate of LaVerne College and the University of LaVerne. I have served with the San Joaquin County Ombudsman Program for the California Department of Aging, and was the PTA president of Edison High School. As a trustee, I represented district two on the Stockton Unified School Board in the 1990's. We should never forget sharing the legacy and philosophy of Shirley Chilsholm, Unbought and Unbossed, Congresswoman Barbara Jordan, Harriet Tubman, Ida B Wells-Barnett and Sojourner Truths' "Aint I A Woman" and Catherine J Levy my 113 years old great-grandmother, Maya Angelou "Continue" poetry. |
