I was born and raised in Lodi, attended local schools, received a community college degree, graduated with my teaching credential from Stanislaus State, taught at Lodi High School and became vice principal there, was chosen the Outstanding Young Educator in San Joaquin County, and became a faculty member at Delta College. During my 27 years at Delta, I rose to become a Division Chair and Dean of Instruction. Along the way, I earned two Master's Degrees from UOP and my Doctorate in School and Business Management. Upon my retirement from Delta College in 2005, I was asked to serve as the Coordinator of "Passport to College," a unique partnership with 158 elementary schools, working with students and families to promote a college-going culture. I have made it my life's work to insure equal access to high quality education through Delta College. Elect me as your Trustee, and I will devote myself to a full recovery of Delta's once envied reputation and restore confidence in the leadership of our community's very precious resource, San Joaquin Delta College. Together we will put the community back in San Joaquin Delta Community College. |
