Stephen Whitburn has years of experience helping to make government work for the people. An award-winning journalist for 18 years, Stephen covered city government and asked the tough questions that us citizens have a right to expect, and held those officials to the high standards that San Diegans deserve.

As a neighborhood advocate, he uncovered problems that City Hall would have otherwise swept under the rug. Currently as a spokesperson for the American Red Cross, Stephen has built bridges with the communities in need by promoting life-saving blood drives and by serving as a liaison to San Diego's Latino community for the Red Cross.
