MICHAEL (Mike) LONG for Grossmont Healthcare District Board of Directors

Since 1990, Dr. Long has surveyed hospitals for compliance with State regulations and national standards. Because of this experience, he will bring a unique perspective to the Grossmont Healthcare District Board of Directors.

Dr. Long's Intentions:

1. Prop G funds and Grossmont Healthcare District Tax Revenues: I am committed to making certain that the funds raised with this proposition are used appropriately to develop and maintain state-of-the-art emergency services (and other services) at Grossmont Hospital and making certain that tax revenues are used to promote the health of the families dwelling within the district.

2. Communication: I will make certain that there are lines of communication between the Grossmont Healthcare District Board of Directors and the Grossmont Hospital Corporation Board of Directors and Administration by filling one of the seats on the Corporation Board that are made available to each District Board Member

3. Quality and Compassionate Care: I will strive to assure that health care facilities of the Grossmont Healthcare District provide the best, state-of-the-art care in the most compassionate manner possible.

Dr. Long and his wife, Belle, have lived in the district since 1967. They have participated in various community functions through the years. He recently sang in the Christian Community Theater production of the Senior Follies as a featured performer and has a long history of helping with children's sports (Pop Warner football; Little League baseball; Bobby Sox Softball; International Girls Softball; boys' basketball and girls' basketball). Please vote for him for the Grossmont Healthcare District Board two year term (completing the final two years of Dr. Jack Hardebeck's term) on November 4, 2008
