Financial Responsibility

By Chuck Walker

Candidate for Council Member; City of Scotts Valley

This information is provided by the candidate
We need leadership we can trust to do the right thing when it comes to managing finances of the city.
Our city, like many others across this nation, are facing economic hardships. Unemployment is mounting, businesses are failing, and people are losing their homes. We need leadership that kind find the ideal balance between growth and sustainability.

As a former Mayor and Council Member of Scotts Valley, I always practiced financial prudence. All four years I was in office, our city budgets were always balanced and healthy. Quite frankly, we lived within our means, just like we must in our personal lives.

I will not be an advocate for higher taxes, rather, I'll be one for cutting expenses. Public servants need to be good stewards of the citizens' money that they entrust us with for services. I am a strong advocate for our police, parks and public works. But still, we need to watch what we spend.

Please join my efforts by voting Chuck Walker for Scotts Valley City Council.

Thank you.
