We need to develop a marketing plan to increase our enrollment and interest in the Scotts Valley School DistrictSchool District Funding is largely impacted by enrollment. Funding is calculated on average daily attendance,. If you follow the trend for the last several years we have a declining average daily attendance. The budget plan over the last few years has been doom and gloom based on declining enrollment. I prefer a proactive approach. There used to be a waiting list to get onto our district. We need to promote our district and get back to the reputation of the top district in the county. To do this will require looking at where our community is going and why. We need to think out of the box. We need innovative recruitment and retention to increase our enrollment at the elementary level and keep our students through high school. Lets bring back the luster to our district! |
