This is my Candidate's Statement as it appears in the Sample Ballot.My name is Jon Macaluso, Sr. I have resided in Buellton for the past eleven years with my wife, Kim, and my three children, Jon II, Justin and Jessica. I chose to move to Buellton for its small town environment. For the last six years I have held public office as a Board Member on the Buellton Union School District's School Board. I am employed as a Manager of Network Services for a global aesthetics company based in Santa Barbara. I choose to be active in my community because I feel the need to be involved. I am running for City Council because I care about my community and want to keep Buellton the same safe, clean, small rural town that it is. As a City Councilmember, I intend to provide better services to the residents of our fine city without going beyond our current borders. I believe that decisions that would have a major effect on our City can only be made after not only hearing from, but listening to, the community.
