Warren AFB Engineering Directorate Administrator, Space and Missile Organization, Norton AFB Sr. Scheduling Engineer, C.F. Braun and Jacobs Engineering Program Supervisor, Aerojet Integrated Business Systems Manager, Aerojet Manager, Advanced Solid Rocket Motor Scheduling Proposal Group, Aerojet Background: Born in Sacramento and attended the public school system. Because of the Vietnam War and impending draft, I was lucky to be accepted into the United States Air Force as an officer candidate. Spent 7 ½ years in USAF with tours in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and San Bernardino, California. Obtained the rank of Captain. Worked 4 ½ years in Southern California, before returning to Rancho Cordova (Sunriver) in late 1979. Worked for Aerojet until 1994. Children have gone through the local public school system, with the youngest (Luke) now a senior at Cordova High School. Have resided across the street from Sunriver Park since 1979. Why should I be elected? I have attended the vast majority of park meetings regularly for over two years and have stated opinions on many issues and agenda items. Most of the time I was the only public person attending. I have reviewed, analyzed and commented on 3 district fiscal budgets. I have led the fight against the Assessment District tax; the District purposely misled the public. Last July, the CA Supreme Court in a 7-0 ruling stated that such assessments are unconstitutional. The District is a complex area of differing communities that have different needs. I understand these problems. The management of the District is basically out of control. Last year, the City Council of Rancho Cordova issued a letter to the District Board stating the obvious: the District's management and leadership skills were totally lacking. I personally offered my advice to a City official concerning this matter. Finally, we need to change from a Public Employees Benefit District to a District that stresses the Public Welfare. I promise to bring us all together for one goal: A first class Board, leading a first class District, containing first class Parks and first class Recreation programs for all. I ask for your vote to bring Integrity back to the District. |
