Political Philosophy for Heather Fargo
Candidate for |

I have said during this campaign that vision is something you see, not what you say. I see progress almost everywhere I turn. I see stronger neighborhoods, with better parks, better commercial areas with more jobs and services, and a reinvigorated downtown and midtown with families from across our region coming to enjoy what we have to offer. North of the central city, I see neighborhoods with new Community Centers and expanded nature preserves. In South Sacramento, new libraries are being built and the city has worked with business associations to revitalize older commercial corridors. East Sacramento, Land Park, and Curtis Park has never been more vibrant and full of life. Kiplinger's just named Sacramento the 8th Most Livable City in America, and The Business Journal recently named Sacramento the best city in our region to do business -- a move from last to first. This was my vision for Sacramento when I first ran in 2000, and now it is reality. It is time that we make our stand to continue this progress. I want to continue the fight to ensure that our neighborhoods are protected from floods. I need your support so that together we can provide jobs and educational opportunities for our young people so that they can raise their families in Sacramento. I need your continued support today so that Sacramento will have a brighter tomorrow. |
