Priorities for SMWDAs a member of the Santa Margarita Water District's Board of Directors, I am proud of my record protecting the environment, reducing tax rates, increasing reliability and protecting water quality. Aggressive efficiency measures, visionary strategic planning and a strong focus on customer service have saved millions of taxpayer dollars and returned them back to our customers despite the fiscal problems that have plagued the State government. Over the past 8 years, we have taken steps to double local capacity, expanded recycled water systems, partnered with local environmental and youth organizations to reduce urban runoff and employed new energy efficient technologies to improve our water quality. The results are a safer, more reliable water supply that has helped SMWD customers avoid water cutbacks like other areas that failed to plan. To meet future needs of the SMWD, my priorities of clean, affordable and reliable water depend on continued strong fiscal policies and sound management of our water resources. I am eager and excited to continue to my service to you and leadership with SMWD. With your support I will continue to find creative, cost-effective solutions to meet the growing needs of our dynamic community. Vote Charley Wilson, SMWD Board of Directors |
