The maintainence of District facilites is an important part of any comprehensive plan for success and accountability.Measure C for facilities improvement was passed in 2003. Currently Measure C is 65% completed, almost completely bid out and $5 million under budget. It is imperative to put into place a facilities maintainence and repair plan with adequate funding to keep facilities in good condition to avoid another bond in the future. The facilities and technology divisions have been restructured with an emphasis on keeping facilities clean and well maintained and on keeping technology current. Well maintained schools with successful programs have a positive effect on students, staff, parents, the community and property values. |
