Dear Voter,

Protecting and keeping our neighborhoods safe has always been one of my top priorities as your councilman for the past four years. As your leading public safety candidate, I look forward to continuing my support of public safety during a second term by diligently working with our police department to address three of your major issues of concern: crime, gangs, and graffiti.

I will continue to prioritize public safety and support funding for increased public safety services, including funding for additional police officers, and continued funding for the operation of new facilities and services. Within the past four years, the Anaheim Police Department has seen an increase of 65 filled officer positions (335 to 400). And, I have approved budget funding for 25 additional police officers during my first term in office, and an increase to $500,000 in our graffiti abatement program.

We have seen the opening of the new West Anaheim Community Center and Police Sub-Station and the new Twila Reid Fire Station. It is also important to note that the most recently reported crime statistics for 2007 demonstrate that the violent crime rate decreased by -6.72%.

I am committed to public safety and ensuring the highest level of police and fire protection. My focus will also continue to be on keeping our neighborhoods safe and improving by continuing the fight to eliminate graffiti and shopping cart abandonment.

As your councilman, I will work with Mayor Pringle to continue the innovative reforms and the freedom-friendly, pro-business and pro-neighborhood policies needed to keep Anaheim moving forward in a positive direction - with THE EXPERIENCE WE NEED WORKING FOR US!

I would be honored to have your VOTE (No. 3 on your ballot)!

In sincere appreciation and gratitude,

Harry Sidhu

Anaheim City Council Member
