Candidate for
Board Member; South Coast Water District

Water is a precious commodity, I support diversification of our water supply base. During my past term, SCWD completed the first phase of its Ground Water Reclamation Plant and is now producing 10% of our daily water supply locally.

With my support, SCWD became the lead agency in the Metropolitan Water District's Ocean Water Desalinization plant on the SCWD property. These projects are important because we are in a drought and our share of both Colorado River water and California Water project from up north have been severely reduced. Locally produced water will continue to become more important.

I support an aggressive capital improvement plant to replace and upgrade aging water lines, valves and sewers. Zero tolerance for sewer spills is my goal.

My sole goal is to provide South Coast Water District customers with a clean, safe supply of water and a reliable sewer system with zero spills. I have never asked for or accepted campaign contributions so that I can make unbiased decisions for the District.
