I am running for re-election to the Laguna Woods City Council because I seek the continuing opportunity to mentor the City as it grows to maturity. I envision the City taking a larger leadership role in becoming self sufficient in using natural resources for heating and cooling, increasing recycling and becoming more "green". I envision completing the Linear Park with its exercise components. I envision continuing the Senior Transportation Program beyond its present grant. I envision developing plans to complete golf cart access to the Senior Center on Moulton Parkway. As a member of the Laguna Woods City Council for the past nine years I believe my actions demonstrate that I am a good listener and a fiscally responsible team player with common sense and consistent goals. In response to our residents wishes my priority has been to grow, protect and conserve our resources. Along with a talented staff and dedicated volunteers in City Hall I have had the privilege to ensure that our City provides efficient services in a cost effective manner to all residents. I believe in an open, honest decision making process. I believe in cooperation with our neighboring communities and governmental agencies. If re elected I will continue to work to help Laguna Woods remain the best small city in California.
