Wasteful Spending and Creeping Socialism in Irvine

Then there is the ICHIP Program where substantial sums of money are spent to hire staff to spread out across the Irvine countryside and locate needy children who have no health insurance and help them get signed up. Prior to implementation at least one private sector provider of exactly the same service, testified that he had found no one who needed that kind of assistance. Many suspect that this is just the proverbial toe in the door for the Irvine Public Health Foundation. What will be next, mandating supervision of all child health care in the City?

The last waste that we have time to discuss is the start of the Irvine Environmental Protection Program. While I am as much in support of improving our environment, going to extremes and duplicating Federal and State responsibilities just doesn't wash in my book.
