Candidate for
Council Member; Proposed City of Rossmoor

I believe Rossmoor needs to enter the larger arena of interacting with our neighbors and local agencies in order to influence the things that directly impact us. As well as to maintain it's unique and wonderful qualities. It is important that we have a 'seat at the table' in order to have a say in what happens around us, as evidenced by the several new shopping centers developed here recently. It is time to stop asking the County for permission to make decisions; just needing to ask to vote on the issue of cityhood should tell us that this needs to change.

I will work well with the other 4 council members to assure that Rossmoor gets the very best service we can offer. My goal will always be to preserve our identity and quality.

I want to make sure that we run a fiscally sound city, with total transparency from the beginning. This will insure that we will not have the financial issues that Seal Beach and Los Alamitos have had if we start out with a clear and open policy of checks and balances.

I will help make sure that all voices are heard; that no special interest group has control and that all residents get equal consideration.

I will help make sure that the needs of the residents are met while maintaining the high quality of life we have all come to appreciate.

I will help make sure that all city services are improved and that residents will find it easy to deal with the city and any issues or questions they have will be dealt with promptly and accurately.

I will help make sure that we get the expert assistance necessary, and appropriate research is done, when we do not have the answers to a particular issue. There will be no guesswork or experimenting with decision making.
