Candidate for
Council Member; Proposed City of Rossmoor

Mark Nitikman has the experience and leadership that a new City requires. Mark has 20 years of experience as a successful real estate and land use attorney, plus five years with the Legislature. Mark's knowledge and negotiation skills will directly benefit our new City on issues such as adopting a new zoning code and contracting with service providers for the new City.

In addition, Mark has served as the President and as a Board Member of the Rossmoor Community Services District, as a 1st Vice-President of the Rossmoor Homeowners' Association, and as a leader in the Rossmoor Organizing Committee, which defeated Cal-Trans' effort to construct HOV flyover lanes over Rossmoor.

During Mark's tenure on the RCSD, he:

• Led efforts to overhaul the District's investment policies, more than doubling investment returns;
• Fought unnecessary spending, while pushing for improved services.
• Championed new lighting for the Rush Park parking lot to improve public safety;
• Supported updating user fees to tie them more closely to actual costs, reducing the burden on the general public; and
• Backed expansion of park and recreation services.
