Candidate for
Council Member; City of La Habra

La Habra Mayor Rose Espinoza and Councilmember Steve Simonian ask you to support my candidacy for this open seat. As a 24-year Deputy Sheriff, I'll improve our police department and stop good officers from leaving. As Planning Commission Vice-Chairman, I'll fix the Pavement Management Plan and get our potholes filled. As a Chamber of Commerce member, I'll work with business to redevelop downtown, adding new restaurants and retailers.

As Vice-Chairman of the 2005 Fiscal Review Committee, I'll manage the budget by wisely cutting costs and enhancing revenue. As a homeowner's association President, I'll protect property values and the quality of life for everyone who lives and works in our culturally unique community. As a La Habra Host Lion and as a Board Member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of La Habra, I support youth sports, gang intervention programs and have the endorsement of leading educators like retired Supt. Rich Hermann, current Supt. Susan Belenardo and School Board President Sharon Brown.

La Habra faces crucial challenges to its fiscal future and infrastructure. Meeting challenges requires an independent Council member who can get to work immediately; not an inexperienced contender who requires on-the-job training. La Habra deserves no less than a Council member who has taken the time to invest in the community, learn the issues and understand the people.

With deep local support, I am La Habra's choice for City Council. I have the unique experience, maturity and vision to lead La Habra into a safe and prosperous future.
