Who Kim Leason isVOTE for KIM LEASON for Tustin Unified School District Board November 4, 2008 Kim Leason is a 25 year resident of the Tustin Unified School District (TUSD) and graduated from Cal State Fullerton in 1993, with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management. In his 31 years of employment at AAA he has held many managerial positions that required budget and finance skills. He is keenly aware of labor laws, contract administration, project management, and public relations. For example, he was responsible for Department of Insurance compliance correspondence, damage claim resolution and risk management for a fleet of independent contractors, and hiring responsibility for an authorized staff of 1,300 employees in multiple locations. Kim is a leader in building a better community. He has served as Chairman of the Tustin Pride Committee for the past three years and has served as a Board Member of his Homeowner Association for two years. He is a City of Tustin Park and Recreation Commissioner, current serving as the chair pro tem. He is a Tustin Community Foundation Board Member and a Committee Member of the Tustin Chili Cook-Off and Street Fair. He has volunteered time for Broadway in The Park, Tustin Police TAG Unit, E Waste Events, Adopt A Block and "Angels' in Tustin" projects. Kim is a hard worker, good listener, and has common sense. He will champion the changes necessary to ensure our children, teachers, coaches, athletics, and cultural arts are not ignored. Parents should not have to have bake sales and car washes to pay for athletics and cultural arts. |
