My Candidate Statement

We need School Board Trustees who will focus on the education of our children and always put their needs first.

Public education and it's availability to all children is what makes America the land of opportunity. Education and our children must be protected. Our school board is no place for political and personal agendas. We need independent, qualified, and dedicated trustees who are committed to our students and their success.

I believe I have these essential qualities. I have written a school column "Beyond the Blackboard" for the past five years (as a volunteer) and have an in-depth knowledge of our schools, school funding, the budget process, and curriculum. I have been a Legislative Representative for PTA for the past three years. I've been to Sacramento to meet with our legislators to advocate on behalf of children.

I am committed to our schools and to the children. I know that parents want what is best for their children and we all need to work together to make that happen.

It is time to build bridges in CUSD. It is time to put the past in the past and focus on the future. It's time for real change and for real solutions. When we all work together we can achieve great things.

I'm a parent representing parents. I want to work for you and with you.
