I am running for City Council in order to provide the citizens of Ridgecrest the opportunity to vote for a candidate who will work to provide them a limited Constitutional government in their City. This means that I will vote for and work towards government activities that are held to the guidelines laid out by the Founding Fathers of our Nation, thus providing the least intrusive, lowest cost City government possible. I will vote for no increases in spending or propose no new taxes until we have cut costs at City Hall to a minimum. I will insist that every law be strictly Constitutional and that they are absolutely necessary, and do not infringe on the lawful liberties of our citizens in any way. The people of Ridgecrest have an inalienable right to follow their chosen pursuits of Liberty and Happiness, and to have their Life protected by their government. Our City government has the following responsibilities in order to protect these rights: take PROPER care of the City infrastructure and enact and enforce laws to restrain evildoers. Those are the main things a City government should be doing. Nothing else.

Trying to provide our City with arts, recreation, Sister City celebrations, child care, business style economic development, has been a long term occupation of past City Councils of Ridgecrest. These activities are rightly pursued by the people themselves. I will be opposed to these types of pursuits at City Hall, since they are not proper or practical for the purpose of providing maximum freedom for the citizenry, or the lowest cost administration. I believe that the government is best that is the smallest and least costly, thereby preventing practices which impinge on the citizens freedoms.

We will see great changes in our Nation in the future. Let us choose the changes which will protect our freedoms in the best ways possible. Vote your conscience this year. Help us take a new direction right here in Ridgecrest and show the rest of the Country how it should be done.
