Guy's Vision

It is with great excitement and pride that I am announcing my candidacy for El Dorado Hills Community Services District. This decision is one that I have considered for some time and have come to believe it is the right next step for myself and for this community. I am asking for your support today.

I am a second generation Sacramento native and resident of El Dorado Hills for the past 5 years. I was raised to value the principles of hard work, integrity and service to others. My mother taught me that where much is given, much is required. She made sure that I was always doing my best and engaging in good causes and supporting core values and principles. My achievement of the rank of Eagle Scout within the Boy Scouts of America is a testament to her influence in my life. She also taught me to stand tall and stand for something that is greater than yourself. As I grew into my 6'7" frame, I literally stood taller than those around me and I found that through serving others I have received many of the greatest joys and experiences of my life. I also learned that I had an obligation to stand up and serve those I come in contact with.

This is what I will do in El Dorado Hills when elected to the El Dorado Hills Community Services District Board. We need changes in our community, and we need it now. Many aspects are going well but there is always room for improvement. Together we can spark this change. I know that El Dorado Hills can be one of the most vibrant communities in the country.

El Dorado Hills has to be a community that works for everyone. I will enhance our parks and improve our facilities. I will cut wasteful spending and make our community government more accountable and responsible to our citizens. I will increase business partnerships and help lower costs for projects and initiatives throughout our community. I will focus on the needs of our community. El Dorado Hills has to be a community that works for everyone and no one should be forgotten. The strength of our community is our people and families. I will focus on our youth and senior citizens within our community and insure their needs are met during these important stages of their lives.

Government does not have to be the entity we do not trust and do not want to be involved in. It can, when done well, serve to bring us together. Government can work for all of us and will. This is not only a job for one person to accomplish. This is a job for our community to accomplish together. We need to share a common vision that "El Dorado Hills needs to be a community that works for everyone." We need to come together with that common vision, roll up our sleeves and take on the challenges before us...together.

Together, we will make El Dorado Hills a community we can all take even greater pride in. Together, we will make El Dorado Hills "A Community That Works For Everyone". Please join me in this great work and effort.
