Experienced Leadership in Challenging TimesBy Nancy Sady BrownellCandidate for Governing Board Member; Rescue Union School District | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
As an experienced educator, I bring knowledge and expertise to the school board for making tough decisions in challenging economic times. The Rescue schools provide children and adolescents with challenging and thoughtful learning opportunities, and are guided by talented and dedicated teachers, administrators and staff. As a life-long advocate of public education, and an experienced educator, I will work with other board members to build on the history and success of our schools and be responsive to the beliefs and priorities of the community in preparing all students for their futures. As a board member, I would promote continuous improvement as the foundation for decisions, focus on programs that improve student achievement and creativity, work to expand community involvement, and align resources to meet district goals. I believe in collaborative leadership and want to take responsibility for creating the conditions under which excellent, successful teaching and learning can take place every day, for every Rescue student, teacher and staff member in the district. I have lived in Rescue for 25 years, raised two children here and have been a parent, teacher and administrator in Sacramento and El Dorado county districts for over 30 years. With your support, I hope to strengthen our schools and advocate for continued educational excellence. |
