I have a passion for kids and education, and I want to be the catalyst for the change that I want to see in our community. The overwhelming success of Measure I is a clear indication to me that Hayward residents value their children and the future of their schools. I want to build on that momentum and ensure that Measure I funds are spent on what voters intended: improve safety and learning by providing up-to-date classrooms, wireless technology and access to individuals with disabilities. With my experience in the school system, public administration and accounting, I can contribute a working knowledge of the planning and budgeting of the funds generated by Measure I. It is critical that those funds are wisely used so that future components of the measure will pass. As a Board of Education trustee, my other priorities are to:
