STOP HIGH DENSITY GROWTH and STOP BUILDING MONSTER CONDOSBy Elizabeth "Liz" KingCandidate for Mayor; City of Dublin | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
I have come up with a new solution to stop the wild and irresponsible growth in Dublin. The Adequate Public Facilities Ordinance is a legal way to stop high density growth until adequate facilities are in place. Stopped the destruction of our ecosystem and our serenity. Stopped putting the burden of current taxpayers to pay for the growth. In the past 8 years the population of Dublin has double to over 43,000 people. As your mayor, I plan to implement an Adequate Public Facilities Ordinance, which will curb new development, until sensible solutions are in place and will facilitate the adequate provision of ROADS, TRANSPORTATION, WATER and SEWAGE FACILITIES, SCHOOLS, PARKS, POLICE, POST OFFICE, FIRE and OTHER PUBLIC REQUIREMENTS. We must stop high density growth and monster condos because it's destroying our ecosystem and our serenity; it's taking away our privacy rights, slowing down our emergency services, no parking is available in our newer neighborhoods, property taxes are increasing, postal services are crowded and increased traffic congestion; it is causing strains upon our schools and it causing many other negative effects on our citizens. THE ADEQUATE PUBLIC FACILITIES ORDINANCE WILL NOT BE IMPLEMENTED IF I AM NOT ELECTED, just give me two years of your time and please elect me, Elizabeth King, for Dublin Mayor to pass the Adequate Public Facilities Ordinance. TRANSPORTATION SOLUTIONS We need bring back the FLEX BUS to Dublin. We need to have more of these buses in our city. The city of Dublin should work on and get rid of the "no pedestrian are allow" signs at cross corners. These are some ideas I have to encourage people to take public transportation. The new traffic lights and public facilities such as the high school math and science building are not solar powered. It is waste of taxpayers money to replace the entire casing of the lights and waste of steel. City of Dublin has not taken advantage of using solar power to receive the benefits of lower electric bills from the electric companies. Most important to this issue is that the technology of these signal lights are causing us to wait longer at traffic signals more so than the old signal lights. This of course is causing our vehicles to exhaust more pollution into the air. We need seasoned journeymen electricians to put in state of the art signal lights. GOLF CART COMMUNITY - is one solution to make us less dependent on gas. POST OFFICE - I am the only candidate that has come up with a real viable solution to the postmaster to put in a new post office in Dublin. |
