Political Philosophy for Dominic J. Caserta
Candidate for |
My name is Dominic Caserta. I am a high school teacher, a proud Democrat, and I have served on the Santa Clara City Council for the past six years. I am running for State Assembly because our future is too important to be left to the politicians. We need leaders who run for office not to become part of the system, but to make the system work for Californians. As a fifth-generation resident of Santa Clara County, I understand the issues our community faces. As an 11-year teacher, I know our educational system. Furthermore, my tenure on the Santa Clara City Council shows a track record of finding innovative and workable solutions. I have the qualifications and vision to bring people together. I teach my students every day how government is supposed to work: elected representatives respond to local concerns and create workable solutions to improve the communities they represent. I also understand that good leaders are active listeners. As your next Assembly Member, I will continue to reach out to our community and listen to your needs. I will push for policies to make Santa Clara County the best place in the country to live, work, play, raise a family, retire and learn. It is time for all of us to take back our government. I will work to ensure that our state leads the nation in technological innovation, education, the environment, healthcare and overall quality of life. This campaign will work to ensure that decision-making in Sacramento is guided by principles, not by politics as usual. Let us begin right now. |
