The 34th District needs a representative that does not play politics with national security and considers the long term interests of the United States over partisan bickering The 34th District needs a representative that recognizes the relationship between national security and border security. They cannot exist independently of each other The 34th District needs a representative that will secure a greater share of federal funding for homeland security needs to protect the two largest ports in the nation and second largest metropolitan area in the country The 34th District needs a pragmatic representative that will balance national security and civil rights rather than trying to score political points The 34th District needs a representative that recognizes our moral responsibility to rebuild and support Iraq in its struggle to establish a stable and prosperous democracy The 34th District needs a representative that will work to remove troops from Iraq in a measured and responsible fashion that does not endanger ongoing and future security gains |
