District Attorney (and former Superior Court Judge) Bonnie Dumanis fully Supports Evan in his Candidacy for Judge of the Superior Court.

I am writing to enthusiastically endorse Evan Kirvin for San Diego Superior Court Judge, Seat 45.

Evan has been a Deputy District Attorney in the San Diego County District Attorney's Office since 1999 and currently serves in the Sex Crimes and Stalking Division. Evan has prosecuted hundreds of felony cases, including rape, robbery, kidnapping, torture, mayhem, child molestation and first degree murder with special circumstances. He has conducted dozens of felony jury trials, including murder trials. He has beenan outstanding prosecutor in the DA's Office and I recommend him for Judge without hesitation.

Evan is a former United States Probation Officer and Parole Officer in the Southern District of California. He served as Court Officer for United States District Court, Chief Judge Irma E. Gonzalez. Evan supervised hundreds of federal probationers and parolees residing in San Diego County. Evan also worked as a 911 Operator for the El Cajon Police Department. Evan authored the motion to automatically convert two-year Sexually Violent Predator confinements to indeterminate terms, protecting our families and saving our tax dollars.

Evan's wide variety of experience in the criminal justice system, from serving as a sworn peace officer to compassionately dealing with victims and protecting their rights in his job as a prosecutor, will serve us well from the bench.

Evan is the overwhelming choice of law enforcement organizations in San Diego County as well as current Judges of the San Diego Superior Court. They recognize the same traits I do in Evan and know that he will be an honest and forthright Judge with the legal understanding to make the best decisions in each case.
