Enough lip-service to Traditional Republican Values!

It is time to return to the principles that we preached in times past. The survival of our country and the success of our community depend on the strength and persistence of this message. It is imperative that we return NOW to REAL Limited Government, REAL Fiscal Responsibility, a Non-Interventionist Foreign Policy, and strong Family Values.

It is no longer enough to merely talk about limited government. It is time to Limit Government! For what purpose? For Liberty! We are being crushed under more and more trivial and unnecessary laws, more and more regulations, more and more taxes, more and more bureaucracy and government agencies. But, as individuals and as a nation, we flourish with freedom from these burdens. So, it is time to flourish again. It is time for FREEDOM! We must REPEAL the unnecessary laws, constricting regulations, destructive taxes, and overbearing bureaucracies. It is time for REAL Limited Government. If I am elected to our Party's Central Committee then I will do all I can to steer our Party back to this ideal and keep our elected representatives accountable.

We must also reject hypocrisy on fiscal conservatism by our Republican office-holders. We have to cut government Spending. Pledges of lower taxes are not enough when borrowing is unbridled. True fiscal conservatism says you only spend what you earn, or take in. Many Republican office-holders have kept their pledges of not raising taxes, but what does this accomplish when these same office-holders borrow without penalty? We must focus on cutting spending in a meaningful and significant way and make sure our elected officials are held accountable to this. So, we must cut spending, which will allow us to cut taxes AND cut borrowing, and then we will truly be fiscally responsible.

"Observe good faith and justice toward all nations. Cultivate peace and harmony with all," advised our first president George Washington. Let us follow such wisdom which is no less applicable today. A Non-Interventionist Foreign Policy means we pursue peace, commerce, and friendship with all nations but avoid meddling in their internal affairs. We fought for the right of self-determination - we should allow the same for other peoples. This Non-Interventionist Foreign Policy is the right policy for at least three reasons. One, we must be responsible with the lives of our sons, fathers, daughters, mothers, and friends. Only after great deliberation and with great distress should our servant, the Congress, authorize our enlisted soldiers to War, and only for the purpose of defense. Life is not cheap. Two, practically speaking, we can no longer afford to police the world with troops in over 130 countries, and we certainly cannot afford endless war. If we don't find a way to end our wars soon, then our coming financial collapse will end them for us. Third, diplomacy and peace, rather than threats and war, is always the preferred policy, so then let us prioritize!

The last traditional republican principle that I will discuss is the importance of the Family. Without the family there is only the amoral State. Let us bring our families back together by bringing our troops home. Let's reduce taxes in a significant way so that families that so desire can afford to keep one parent at home so they can raise their own children. And let us join in history for our future posterity and preserve traditional marriage as a matter of republican policy. The preservation of the Family is essential to the survival and success of our nation, so let us uphold it and maintain it by repealing the laws and policies which depress it. We don't need more government intervention to uphold the family + just the opposite + reduce the size and scope of the government in every way possible and the family will be preserved.

The key to Traditional Republican Values is PERSONAL LIBERTY. This is maintained by limiting the scope and role of government, which would lead to fiscal conservatism, and a foreign policy which pursues peace, and which would allow the Family to endure and thrive.

Let us return to these values and keep our elected officials accountable to them. We can turn our community, state, and nation around if we commit to them. It is not too late but we must act now. Educate your neighbors, pressure your representatives, and vote to elect me, Arek Arechiga, to the Central Committee of our Republican Party.
