Barbara Bopp was born in Omaha, Nebraska, is the wife of a retired Army Officer and the mother of two children who reside in Folsom and Rocklin.

For many years she was an active Army wife, traveling with her husband to assignments overseas and in the United States.

She was a Blue Star Mother for the years her son, Matthew, served his country as a U.S. Army Ranger, making four combat deployments to Afghanistan.

Her daughter, Stephanie, is a local attorney who has participated in Republican politics since high school.

Barbara and her husband, Jim, reside in Citrus Heights.
