- The Status Quo Has Got To Go
-
The election on June 3 is critical to the future of Mendocino County.Change begins at the ballot box. Dolly
Brown has the skills and passion to take the actions we need
to break away from the status quo and bring Mendocino County into the 21st century.
- We Need Jobs and Affordable Housing, Not Malls
-
Family income in Mendocino County ranks in the bottom 4% of all counties in the United States. We are the second poorest in the state of California with unemployment at 7%. We have lost 24% of our industrial jobs in the past five years. We need to put together a plan to attract small enterprises responsive to local needs such as food processing, manufacture of building materials, and agricultural supplies.
- Reduce Overcrowding at the County Jail
-
There is no money for a new county jail, given the condition of the state budget and the economy in general. Our overcrowded and leaky jail on Low Gap Road is a serious problem.
