I remember the Vietnam War from my childhood. Many young men were drafted into an undeclared war and had their lives irreparably damaged. Their peaceful and happy futures were taken away and they were left to cope with anger, depression and drug dependence on their own. This was the result of an administration which treated them poorly, if at all. We cannot allow this chapter of our history to be repeated. To treat them like resources to be used, consumed and discarded is inhumane and shameful. |
