- I have been a Lawyer in Los Angeles for 27 years representing major multinational corporations.
- Los Angeles is the center of international trade for the US, but few judges have experience in this area.
- I come from a stable family life. I have been married for 25 years and have five children.
Answer from James N. Bianco:
- Court Commissioner since 2005, doing the same work as a Judge
- Presides over criminal courtroom
- Assigned to conduct sentencing and other hearings in felony cases
2. Why are you running for Superior Court judge? (No more than 75 words total for questions 2 and 3.)

Answer from James N. Bianco:
To continue to serve the public by applying my experience as a court
commissioner, civil litigator, prosecutor, criminal defense lawyer, and part-time law school teacher.
Answer from Bill Johnson:
I was very active in promoting a particular political candidate for president and when he did not get the nomination,about 50 fellow supporters urged me to run for office. I felt that Superior Court Judge was the office that I was most qualified for.
3. What experiences and personal qualities best equip you to serve as judge? (No more than 75 words total for questions 2 and 3.)

Answer from James N. Bianco:
Daily experience as a judicial officer since 2005, currently hearing felony criminal cases. Previously I served as a prosecutor, and in private practice handling both civil and criminal cases. I care deeply about fairness to all sides, and work very hard to serve the public.

I am fair and honest in all my dealings.

Until 5:00 p.m. on April 4, 2008,
candidates for Superior Court Judge must limit their answers to 100
words total for all questions so that a paper Voters Guide may be
published. Specific word limits are as follows: 25 words for
question 1; 75 words total for questions 2 and 3. After 5:00 p.m. on
April 4, 2008, word limits will no longer apply.
The order of the candidates is random and changes daily. Candidates who did not respond are not listed on this page.
