I was admitted to the California Bar in 1976, and in 1991 I became a member of the Bar in Washington D.C. I have tried cases for the past 30 years and, I have acquired an expertise in handling both complex civil and complex criminal litigation.

As a civil litigator, I have primarily represented insurance companies since the 1990`s providing defense services. Prior to that time, I had represented individual plaintiff, small business owners, corporations, and medical partnerships.

In the field of criminal law, I have had the opportunity to litigate some of the most demanding and high profile trials in our community. I have not shied away from a challenge and so I have had the good fortune to litigate cases with and against some of the most experienced trial lawyers in our county.

There is a need in our judicial system for an individual who has had practical trial experience in both complex civil and complex criminal litigation. Statewide the taxpayers suffer million of dollars in losses due to retrials awarded to litigants each year. Errors by judicial officers who failed to acquire practical trial experience in complex litigation prior to their assuming the bench has been a contributing factor.

I have acquired a deep respect for the law in my 30 years in the court room. As a trial judge I would remain faithful to the law. I believe strongly that all sides to the litigation deserve a fair trial and an equal opportunity to be heard.

I am conservative when it comes to the interpretation and enforcement of the rights guaranteed by the United States and California constitutions. I favor a strong first and second amendment as guaranteed by the United States Constitution.

I believe that my 30 years of practical trial experience, my patience and my even temperament would serve this community well as a member of the bench.
