Hello, my name is Glenn LoStracco and I thank you for this opportunity. If you believe that our judicial system should be fair and impartial yet tough when a jury has spoken, then I believe I am the best candidate to serve YOU, as Superior Court Judge. I will always remember the rights of the victims when applying the law. I will hold people accountable for their actions while protecting the wrongfully accused. As humans we are all imperfect creatures. It is a Judges job to protect us from those who have chosen to be a threat to our community and assist those who want to become productive members of society.

I am the only candidate with a broad base of legal experience. I have practiced law for 20 years in both the public and private sectors. I served as a Deputy District Attorney for Fresno County and have also run a successful private practice. I have represented clients in the Fresno County and Federal Courts, and in many other counties valley-wide. I am the only candidate with this range of experience.

Some would want you to believe that an attorney who is in private practice does not have the skills to be a judge. Nothing could be further from the truth. Historically, attorneys who have represented criminal defendants become the toughest Judges and some Judges that are appointed by the Governor are from private firms. Again, I am the only candidate that has practiced law from both sides; prosecution and defense.

You may wonder why you are being asked to vote for a Judge, when most of the time Judges are appointed by our Governor. It is because Judge Kent Levis is retiring. By choosing to retire at the end of his term, Judge Levis has empowered YOU, the Voters to choose his replacement. I believe it is an essential element of our government that we have a free and independent Court. One that is obligated only to the people, not to any political office. Now YOU, the Voters, have this rare opportunity to elect a Superior Court Judge from the private sector.

Like Judge Levis, I will be a fair minded conservative. My experience will enable me to continue his legacy of administering justice in a fair, balanced and well-reasoned manner. That is why I have the support of people like former Sheriff Steve Magarian, Kings County District Attorney Ronald Calhoun, Retired Judge Fred Dupra and many other legal professionals and community leaders. I've prosecuted many criminal cases when I served as a Deputy D.A., and over the years, I have also sat face-to-face with many individuals accused of crimes. I've listened to their stories, and over time, I have developed a very acute sense for when someone was being honest and when they were simply attempting to avoid their responsibility. It is this balanced, conservative quality that distinguishes me from my opponents.

I will contribute more than any other candidate to improving our courts. Although we already do many things well in Fresno County, I believe, each Judge has a responsibility to help our Courts run efficiently and to serve this community to the highest degree possible. I have personally experienced how Courts operate in many other jurisdictions. This broad perspective, together with meeting the challenges of running a private business, gives me the tools necessary to contribute the most to our Courts. In closing, as you do, I truly care about this community. My wife, Sonia, and I have raised our children in Fresno, and, like you, we value family and want to keep our community safe and secure. After 20 years in the public and private practice of Law, it would be an honor to further serve the Citizens of Fresno County as Superior Court Judge. When elected, I pledge; to uphold the highest ideals of the office, to do my part to improve our Courts and to be fair, balanced and tough-minded.
