This information is provided by the candidate

As a mother of two children in Foster City public schools, a member of the City's Education Committee, and co-founder of the Foster City High School Foundation, I am committed to serving our community.

As your Councilmember, I will work to improve our quality of life, grow our local economy, and build a stronger community. I will apply my management and analytical skills, attained as a manager in the biotechnology industry and through my doctoral studies at Cornell and Stanford, to meet the needs of our changing and diverse community, support forward thinking policies to attract and retain businesses, maintain a fiscally sound city budget, and make the infrastructural and human investments necessary for our future. Just as importantly, I will work to preserve our community's unique character and endeavor to help Foster City to grow in ways that are environmentally friendly.

I will support the efforts to build a Community Education Center in Foster City, providing Foster City's children with access to a local public high school, and new educational and recreational opportunities for all residents. Establishing a public charter high school in Foster City will also boost property values and the City's tax revenues and will be a magnificent way to complete Foster City's development.
