By Jerome "Jerry" McCready

Candidate for Board Member; Castroville Water District

This information is provided by the candidate
Moved to Castroville 1968. Coached little league, pony league and served as president of Gambetta little league. Served as a member, headed committees and Served as president of the artichoke festival board and on other local committees. Presently serving as a member of county service area 14 and trustee Castroville cemetery district. I have attended water district meetings over the last 8 months to keep up with what is happening there! We have a lot of new things happening in our community and as a member of our water board I will work with other members to ensure that the working employees of our district have everything they need to continue to do the good work they are now! Now that our water board is charge of sewers and storm drains along with the water, and I have worked as a plumbing service person and serving on county service area 14, I can work with other members to ensure we will always have plenty of drinkable water and that all of our sewers and storm drains will be able to handle all of new growth we are expecting. I look forward to serving the community on the water board.

What I believe qualifies me for this position, along with my continuing service on the CSR 14 board and the cemetery District board and before becoming disabled, working as a plumber, I know a lot about what our community wants. Also knowing whoever is elected to the board will automatically become members of the board to be in charge of our C.S.D. which we hope will become effective next June. These things I believe qualify me more than anyone else for the Board.
