Jimmy came to Ukiah in 1952 and has lived in the District since 1978, and attended local schools before entering the military. He attended Mendocino Community College and Santa Rosa Junior College, receiving an AA degree from both colleges before attaining his BA at Sonoma State.

He has been an involved community citizen, becoming active in the American Legion (past Commander), Mendocino County Veterans (founding member), Mens/Womens Softball Association and Lion Club International for 23 years. He presently holds political office as a director for the Ukiah Valley Fire Protection District.

In 1971, he became interested and active in local politics and shares his perceptions and solutions with straight talk on his weekly television shows aired on Comcast channel 56.

Jimmy's style and straight talk are sometimes praised, sometimes criticized, but always noticed by local politicians and citizens. He considers looking after your issues as a principal goal.
